everything and the kitchen sink

When you think of farmhouse elements, what comes to mind? Perhaps you picture chicken-wire decor, a front-porch swing, or barnwood doors. But the most iconic staple of these homes can be found in the kitchen: a farmhouse sink.

Also known as an apron sink, this commanding kitchen anchor is usually larger and deeper than spec sinks and juts out a bit from the countertop. It’s ideal for washing large pots and pans and prepping food. Often, these sinks feature one oversize basin, but they can be divided as well. Select the best option to suit your functional needs.

White porcelain is a classic finish that will always fit the style of a farmhouse. But if you want to complement your decor with a statement sink, consider investing in an alternative material such as cast iron, stainless steel, soapstone, or hammered copper. Whatever material you choose, a farmhouse sink will be a showstopping centerpiece in the heart of your home.
